Camp Care Package: Get lost in your words and your story.

Author Helen Hoang is your Camp Counselor for the second week in April, and brings you this week's Camp Care Packages:

“I’m too stressed to write. I’m afraid I’m going to fail.” Play your music louder. Get lost in it. Get lost in your words and your story. Fight the voices in your head, for just thirty minutes if that’s all you can manage. Take a short break, and then do it again. And again. And again and again and again. Until you write THE END.

What's up at Camp?

Today's Writing Dare

Pick a few songs that fit the mood of what you're writing (something soft, something angry, something weird). Set a timer to 30 minutes, turn up the music, and don't stop writing until the timer goes off. If you feel like another challenge, count up your words, set the timer again, and see if you can beat your 30 minute record!

She lives in San Diego, California with her husband, two kids, and pet fish.
