Be sure you're getting NaNo emails!

Posted by: Chris Angotti on 10/29/2012

The normally helpful spam gobblers in your email box may be gorging on your NaNoWriMo messages. (How dare they, right?) Follow these steps to be sure you're receiving all the news and pep talks we're sending this November.

Uncheck the box for "No NaNoWriMo Emails" in your account settings. Sending emails is the default, but you may have accidentally opted out.

Add noreply@nanowrimo.org and ywp_loves_you@nanowrimo.org as trusted senders. Those are the addresses we'll always use to contact you. Here's how to do this in Gmail, Hotmail, and Yahoo.

Check your spam folder for previous messages from us, and mark them as not spam. This will tell your email service to trust NaNo emails from now on—both for you and throughout the network.

We've got so much inspiration to share, and we want it to make it your way. If you're still not getting communications (like the Lois Lowry pep talk we're sending soon) after the steps above, bear with us and regularly check the NaNo News until we get things fixed.

Thanks for your patience!
