Welcome to NaNoWriMo's YWP! Registering for NaNoWriMo is totally free and works like this:
- Click on the "Sign Up Now!" link at the top of the home page.
- Tell us if you are either a "Young Writer" or an "Educator" facilitating NaNoWriMo. If you are 13 or older you can sign up for the adult program at www.nanowrimo.org, but know that you will not be able to set your own word-count goal. You'll have to write all 50,000 words in 30 days!
- Choose your username and password. Make sure your username is something you really like. You will be unable to change it once you sign up.
- Read and accept the really boring "Terms and Conditions."
- Once you are signed up, set up your author profile by clicking on "My NaNoWriMo," which will take you to your author profile! Tell us all about you and your novel.
- Congratulations! You've signed up for NaNoWriMo's YWP!
