You're not required to sign your students up through our site in order for them to participate in NaNoWriMo. Many of our young writers participate off-line. All they really need is a novel idea and something to write with!
But if your students do have access to the internet, you can have them sign up on our site after reading through the How NaNoWriMo Works for Young Writers. Once your students are signed up, they'll receive their very own author profile, which they can personalize, and they'll gain access to our our forums where they can communicate with other young novelists worldwide.
If your students sign up with a valid email, and choose to receive emails from NaNoWriMo headquarters, they'll also receive encouraging pep talks throughout the month sent from authors they know and love!
