You can update your word count from November 1 through November 30
It is very important to make sure you set your timezone. If it's November 1 for you and you can't see the word count field, please check your timezone setting under "Edit User Settings" under "My NaNoWriMo."
There are two ways to update your word count:
1. On the honor system: Go to "My NaNoWriMo"---> "Edit Novel Info" and type in your current word count in the box at the top of the page.
2. Using our "Word Count Validator": Go to "My NaNoWriMo" ---> "Edit Novel Info" and cut (Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the text of your novel into the "Word Count Validator box.
Starting on November 25, you will also use the "Word Count Validator" to become a winner once you've reached your goal.
