Winning Begins on November 25!

The way to win NaNoWriMo is by writing to your word-count goal by midnight on November 30. Every year, there are many, many winners. There are no "Best Novel" or "Quickest-Written Novel" awards given out. All winners will get an official "Winner" web icon and certificate, and bragging rights for the rest of their life!
In order to "officially win" through the Young Writers Program website, you need to upload your novel to our site so that our word-validation robots can count your words to make sure you've reached your goal.
This is how you do it:
1. After November 25, once you reach your word-count goal, you can go to "My NaNoWriMo"--->"Edit Novel Info," and cut (Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) your whole novel into the "Word Count Validator."
2. Celebrate like a crazed wombat!
Once you win on our site, you'll have access to your very own Winner's page, where you'll find your Winner's Certificate and web icons. Look for the "You Won!" link on the left-hand side of your profile. This link will stay there until September 1, 2010, so you have plenty of time to access your goodies.
As far as your Create Space coupon code for your free proof copy, that will appear on December 1 on the "I Wrote a Novel! Now What?" page under 'Writers Resources." In order to claim your code after this date, you must be an official NaNoWriMo winner and logged into the YWP site.
