Sign Up FAQ

How can I sign up?

Just go here to sign-up!

Do I need an email address to sign up?

If you’re participating as part of a classroom, then you can sign up using the classroom access code provided by your teacher instead of an email address. If you’re participating on your own, then you’ll need to input your email address (if you’re 13 or older), or a parent’s email address (if you’re under 13).

I haven’t received a verification email. How can I verify my account?

Be sure you typed in your email address correctly. Check your spam folder, or see if your organization’s server might be blocking emails from noreply@nanowrimo.org. If you’re still having problems, email us and we can verify your account manually.

Should I sign up for the Young Writers Program, NaNoWriMo, or Camp NaNoWriMo?

If you’re 17 or under, you can sign up for a YWP account and participate in NaNoWriMo and Camp NaNoWriMo surrounded by a community of your peers (your weird peers… your weers), plus get access to all the YWP features and resources. If you’re 13 or older, you can sign up for a NaNoWriMo and/or Camp NaNoWriMo account as well. Just be sure to update your word count in all the places!

I’m 18 and a high school student. Should I sign up for the adult program?

As long as you’re participating as part of a K-12 classroom, you can sign up on the YWP site.
