NaNo Prep 101

  • NaNo Prep 101: Students in upper grades may be ready for some of the novel planning resources we feature on NaNoWriMo.org. Check out our NaNo Prep 101 page! We asked first-time NaNoWriMo winners what went right for them, and then used their answers to create this 6-week novel prep course, filled with activities and resources to help you plan your novel.

Classroom Kits

In a typical year, we offer a free motivational classroom kit to educators facilitating NaNoWriMo. It has historically included a progress chart, two sets of stickers, and a Writer's Emergency Pack. Unfortunately, we are unable to send out full classroom kits in 2024 due to an unexpected change in our warehousing and fulfillment contract. 

In lieu of this, please avail yourself of our free digital classroom kit, which we make available every year. This includes a PDF version of our progress poster, printable workbook prompts, illustrated pep talk quotes, printable pep talks, winner and participant certificates, NaNoWriMo bookmarks, family letters in English and Spanish, and more!
