February is almost over! It seems like only yesterday we were sitting down to tea and cookies with our characters, just getting to know them, and now they feel like family. They grow up so fast! Here are three ways you can keep engaging with your creativity through February and beyond (plus, check out all our "Now What?" resources here).

Submit to a contest.

  • The "Now What?" Young Writers Contest - Revise and submit a 400-word excerpt of your novel by February 28 for the chance to be featured on our blog, website, and social media.

  • Pitchapalooza 2019 - Submit a pitch of your novel by February 28 for the chance to get feedback on it from publishing industry professionals.

Join a live webcast.

  • Virtual Write-In at NaNo HQ (Thursday, February 21 at 1 PM Pacific) - Join NaNoWriMo staff for writing prompts and writerly conversation. Take an hour from your day to chat with a creative community and work on whatever project you choose!

  • IngramSpark webcast (Wednesday, February 27, time TBD) - Learn the ins and outs of publishing with professionals. Join live or watch the archived video later.

Participate in our March Instagram challenge.

Are you on Instagram? So are we, and we want to say hello! Participate in a month of photo-prompts designed to help you explore who you are as a writer. Details for the March 2019 challenge will be shared on our blog near the end of February, but you can take a look at least year's prompts here
