November is just under two months away, but it's never too early to start dreaming: about characters, about worlds, about all the wild and wondrous things you're going to write in your NaNoWriMo novel. 

Our NaNo Prep program will help you get ready to tell your story in November, whether that means making a plot outline or figuring out how to organize your time. 

Find all our resources and advice on our NaNo Prep page, and make sure to accept the official NaNoWriMo challenge from your dashboard. 

Only words written during November will count towards your word-count goal, but that doesn't mean you can't plan, doodle, sketch, list, and freewrite all the way up to that moment.
