Start planning your novel!

"NaNoWriMo is where 'I’ve always wanted to write' becomes 'I am a writer.'"
—Willow Sanders, NaNoWriMo participant

November is just around the corner. Take the first steps towards becoming a writer by accepting the NaNoWriMo 2018 challenge from your Dashboard and planning your novel. Spend even just five minutes in your writing space—try out a dare, write down a dream, or jot down a journal entry as your main character. Every little bit of practice helps! If you need a boost to get started, try out these three steps below:

1. Watch a video (or participate in a live virtual write-in!).

Join us live and chat with other writers around the world as we plan and write together in Virtual Write-Ins.
